We are pleased to announce that following discussions last night, Rodney McAree has been appointed Head Coach (Manager) of Dungannon Swifts FC on a permanent basis.

Club Chairman Keith Boyd has said “I am delighted that Rodney has accepted the position of Head Coach. He brings a wealth of experience and shows great passion for Dungannon Swifts. His loyalty to DSFC over the years has been second to none. We wish him all the best in his new role at our Club. We as a committee support Rodney in every way possible as he moves to take the Club forward.”

Speaking to a happy new Swifts Manager Rodney stated, “I am privileged to have been given the opportunity by the Chairman and Committee and I look forward to getting underway in the Mid Ulster Cup Quarter Final tonight against Dollingstown. Looking at our league form we need to target picking up points. I believe the squad of players are capable of getting the results that we need to put us in a better position. League form will take a back seat tonight as we look to get in a positive performance and result against Dollingstown. I look forward to getting started with a group of players who I have a lot of time and respect for.”

We as a Club would like to also wish Rodney all the best from Chairman, Committee and Supporters of DSFC. Good Luck Rodney.
