With just two days until the season kicks off at Stangmore Park, Rodney McAree, Head Coach of Dungannon Swifts, has moved to bolster his first team squad with the addition of centre forward player, Marcio Soares.
“Marcio has done extremely well during pre-season, he’s came into the team, worked hard, has shown a great enthusiasm and desire to be part of the group going forward. He is another goal scorer, he’s a centre forward player which gives us more options and competition for places. I think he will prove to be a valuable asset to our squad, from now until the end of this season and hopefully beyond.”Rodney McAree
The twenty-two year old, Portuguese born player has Irish League experience after having being on the books at both Portadown and Crusaders. Soares is looking forward to getting back to life in the Irish League;
“I am very, very delighted to be back in the Irish League, especially playing for a top team like Dungannon swifts FC. I am looking forward to playing for one of the best managers in the League and also to start a new challenge for myself personally.”
Welcome to Stangmore Park, Marcio and we wish you every success in a Swifts shirt.
