Darren Murphy has moved swiftly to secure another two signatures less that 24 hours after his double signing of Burke and Montgomery last night. Today we bring the news that former Swifts favourite Ryan Mullan returns to Stangmore Park along with a completely new addition in the form of wide man Alan Teggart.
Ryan Mullan first joined the Swifts in the summer transfer window of 2008, after spending 3 seasons with the club Ryan had to leave due to work commitments preventing him from devoting as much time as he had wished to playing for the club. Ryan went out on loan to Limavady for the remainder of the 2012 season. He did return for a brief spell at the start of the following season however as mentioned things didn’t work out with him working in London so he signed for Limavady United permanently . Ryan has now returned to work in Northern Ireland and is absolutely buzzing to be coming back to rejoin Dungannon Swifts after his spell away.
Ryan is not the only delighted person as Darren Murphy is over the moon to have the 26 year old defender sign on the dotted line,
“Ryan is back for his second spell at the club. He is one of the best centre backs I have worked with. So I am delighted to have the opportunity to work with him again. He will bring leadership with him to the squad which will be an added boost for us.”
Alan Teggart joins the club from Ballymena United where he spent four seasons with them arriving from our neighbours Portadown in 2011. Twenty eight year old Teggart who plays as a wide man chipped in with his fair share of goals over the years at Ballymena United. Having played for only Portadown and Ballymena United the Markethill man brings with him great integrity, showing loyalty to both clubs which will also be portrayed in his future Swifts career.
“I am delighted Alan has agreed to come on board. It is an area of the pitch that we need strengthened. Ally has a wealth of Irish League experience and will bring a great deal to the squad.” said Murphy
We welcome Ryan back and welcome Alan to Stangmore Park, wishing them both success in their Swifts careers. Good luck boys!

We are delighted to announce that Darren Murphy has today made a double signing securing the signatures of wide player Cormac Burke and defender Dale Montgomery.
Twenty one year old Cormac Burke joins the Swifts from Institute after having been on the books of Ipswich since he was 16 years old. Cormac is no stranger to some at Stangmore Park as he ‘guested’ for Dungannon United Youth when he was 15 years old at a UEFA organised tournament in Barcelona. A former Northern Ireland Under 17 and Under 19 Youth International Cormac arrives at Stangmore Park as a breath of fresh air.
Darren Murphy spoke of his new signing, “I am delighted Cormac has joined the Swifts, he plays wide on the left or the right and gives us options out there. He comes highly recommended by Paul Kee, so I am really looking forward to working with him as I believe that the Swifts and Rodney (McAree) will get the best from him.”
Dale Montgomery formerly of Armagh City plays on the right of the defence. At 24 years old Dale comes highly sought after by the Swifts Manager who has had his eye on him for quite some time now. Dale also played for the Northern Ireland Junior International side this year under the management of Harry McConkey.
“Dale is a player that I have now tried to sign 3 times. I am so happy he has decided to make the step up. I was a full back myself and I believe Dale ticks all the right boxes to play in the Premiership”, said Murphy.
We look forward to seeing both Cormac and Dale playing in Dungannon Swifts shirts this season. Welcome to Stangmore Park and we wish you both every success as a Swifts player.

Swifts teenagers Conor Mullen (pictured above right) and Stefan McMaster (above left) met with Darren Murphy tonight to agree new deals for the forthcoming season.
Conor and Stefan who have progressed through the ranks from Dungannon United Youth at all under age levels both played for the first team on occasions last season. The most memorable moment for Conor was scoring a very important goal v Coleraine to secure a massive three points for the Swifts in a 2-1 win at the Showgrounds. He scored with his first touch of the game. He also scored the winning penalty against Ballyclare to see the Swifts through to the Irish Cup Quarter Final. Mullen was top goal scorer for the reserve team this year.
McMaster who captained the reserve team under Dixie Robinson broke his way into the first team closer to the end of the season making his full league debut in the final game of the season v Ballymena United. McMaster won player of the season for the reserves and Murphy is looking forward to continued work with both of the boys.
“I am delighted that two of our most promising youngsters Conor Mullen and Stefan McMaster have agreed new contracts tonight. I believe that if both lads continue to work hard and develop they can force their way into the team this season.”
Congratulations to both Conor and Stefan on their new deals from all at DSFC.
