MUC Semi Final

Dungannon will play Glenavon in the final of the Mid Ulster Cup on Wednesday 18th January. Soup and hot dogs will be for sale during the game.

Kick off 7.45pm at Stangmore Park.

Friars brothers join the Swifts.

Rodney McAree has today added brothers Emmet and Sean Friars to the Swifts squad bringing his current total of signings so far to five.

26 year old Emmet who plays centre half is a top professional and a great passer of the ball. He joins the Swifts after playing most recently with Derry City in the League of Ireland.

Sean at 32 years old is a creative and technically very good forward. He has a great eye for goal and joins the Swifts after transferring from Championship side Institute F.C.

Both players have signed on 18 month contracts.

Welcome to the club Emmet and Sean.

Midfielder Harpur signs.

Our latest addition to the team at Stangmore Park comes in the form of Midfielder Ryan Harpur.

Harpur, who was released from Glenavon F.C., has signed for The Swifts on an 18 month contract.

”I’ve always had my eye on Ryan and I believe he is a very talented player. He is a fantastic passer of the ball and is keen to cover a lot of ground on the pitch. He will add a creative flair to our midfield which we are currently lacking. I’m glad that we have now got Ryan on board at Stangmore Park as I believe he will suit our style of play a lot” said McAree speaking of his latest signing.

The Portadown lad who grew up playing with his home town Club moved to Everton in 2005, where he featured for their reserve team regularly for the three seasons he spent at the Club. After leaving them he signed for Portadown’s rivals Glenavon where he has been up until the present day.

Ryan will be available to play for the club in January and could make his debut live on Sky v Cliftonville F.C. if selected!

Welcome to Stangmore Park Ryan and we hope you have a successful Swifts career, from all at Dungannon Swifts F.C.
