Manager Kris Lindsay is delighted to reveal new signing EVAN MORAN. Twenty-one year old Moran, from Dublin,  is a former ROI Youth International goalkeeper at Under 18/16 level.  He played for West Bromwich Albion F.C. Under 18s and most recently was on the books of League of Ireland side, Bray Wanderers.

Speaking to us tonight Evan expressed his excitement about linking up with the Swifts;

“I got a phone call from Kris (Lindsay) asking me was I interested in coming up to training. I jumped at the chance as I’d heard good things about Dungannon. I came down last week and took part in a training session, I loved the set up, I loved the training and I really feel it’s a great Club for me to get involved with. I’m looking forward to getting down to playing games and see where the rest of the season takes us.”

Speaking about his new addition Kris Lindsay said;

“I’m delighted to have Evan on board, he’s a young goalkeeper but he has experience and played a few games for Bray Wanderers, last season, in the League of Ireland. Hopefully Alex (Moore) and Evan can push each other forward and battle it out for the number one spot. It should be great competition for them both as they are both young, exciting, and very talented prospects.”

Welcome to Stangmore Park, Evan.

CONTRACT NEWS | Forward Signs Extension.

Following on from the good news last week, that Christopher Hegarty and Seanan Clucas both signed contract extensions, we can reveal that Daniel Hughes is the latest player to sign on the dotted line. Hughes has commited his future to the club until at least 2021.

This is fantastic news ahead of our 5th round Tennent’s Irish Cup tie, this weekend, away to Cliftonville FC.

Manager, Kris Lindsay, said;

“I’m delighted to get Daniel signed on with a years extension until 2021. He is a goal scorer and the type of quality that we need going forward, so as I say I really am delighted to get the extension sorted.”

Hughes had this to say;

“I agreed to sign an extension to my current contract because I like the ideas that Kris (Lindsay) has regarding where he wants the Club to go. I feel that since I signed last year, I’ve settled in well and I want to be apart of what’s happening at the club over the next number of seasons.”

In other news;  defender Caolin Coyle has signed a years extension  until 2020.

“Both Caolin and Lee Upton are young players with lots of potential and both will be going out on loan until the end of the season. I want them to do this as I feel they need to get competitive game time and experience under their belts which will stand them in great stead in the future.” said Lindsay

Congratulations on your contract extension, Daniel and we wish Caolin and Lee all the very best with their loan deals.

Alex himself is looking forward to remaining at Dungannon,
