All hands on deck on Monday 29th July at Stangmore Park – if you can’t come until later than 6.45 pm we don’t mind. All help is appreciated in ensuring we have Stangmore looking its best for KICK OFF of the DANSKE BANK PREMIERSHIP on Saturday.

FAIR PLAY | SUPERCUPNI | A small gesture can go a long way…

Swifts Coach, Dixie Robinson, who presented a player from REEDS FOOTBALL ACADEMY with one of the medals obtained by the DSFC U13 Globe winning team at the SUPER CUPNI.
As many of you are aware our DSFC Under 13 squad won the Minor Section SUPERCUPNI Globe on Friday, much to the excitement of all players and staff who had put a lot of work in, prior to the competition, in preparation for such an opportunity.
On Friday afternoon all the minor teams, who were not in the top four, gathered for the awards presentation. Included in this selection was a team who travelled all the way from India, REEDS FOOTBALL ACADEMY. Despite not having played against the Reeds team during the SUPERCUPNI, the Swifts team did note how friendly and sporting the side had been towards them off the pitch. On seeing the excitement on the DSFC players faces and the little faces looking on from Reeds FA, Dungannon staff knew they could help in just a small way.
As a sporting gesture of good will, the Dungannon Staff took it upon themselves to present a medal won by DSFC, to a player on the Reeds FA team to take back home with them. The sheer happiness it brought to this child was unbelievable.
Why not be that person who makes someone else look forward to tomorrow? A small act of kindness can go a long way.

TRANSFER NEWS | GOALKEEPER JOINS SWIFTS

New signing, Goalkeeper Alex Moore, pictured along with Head Coach, Rodney McAree
As the Kick off for the Danske Bank Premiership draws near, Rodney McAree has boosted his squad with the signing of a goalkeeper. Nineteen year old Lisburn native, Alex Moore, joins us at Stangmore Park from Linfield FC, on loan.
Moore has been part of Linfield Football Club since he was six years old and has worked his way through the entire Youth Academy to feature for the First Team last season on various occasions. He has also been involved with Northern Ireland Under Age Squads, most recently the NI U21 training camp.
Speaking about his new signing, McAree said;
“I’m delighted to bring Alex to Dungannon Swifts on loan from Linfield. He has already made senior appearances for Linfield and I’m looking forward to giving him the opportunity of gaining more experience of playing premiership football with ourselves.
“Alex, at 19 years of age, is a terrific talent who has great feet and will suit how we try to play the game. I’m genuinely very excited about bringing him on board and look forward to watching him develop.”
Alex is excited to be joining Dungannon Swifts;
“I’ve always wanted to play games, especially in the premiership, and thankfully Rodney has given me the opportunity to do that and as soon as I found out the chance to go on loan I couldn’t turn it down.
“Working under Roy Carroll helped me massively, with his pedigree as a goalkeeper and wealth of experience, in training and in matches and just being around him gave me great help towards my development.
“This season I would like to hold down the number 1 spot and hopefully finish as high up the table as possible and do as well as I can for the club and the team.”
We would like to thank David Healy and Linfield Football Club, for their help in ensuring this loan deal was possible.
Welcome to Stangmore, Alex. We wish you every success in a Swifts shirt.

TRANSFER NEWS | GOALKEEPER LEAVES STANGMORE PARK
Dungannon Swifts would like to thank Andy Coleman for his contribution and commitment over the last four seasons with us. We wish Andy all the best as he moves back to his home town Club, Newry City AFC, who have been newly promoted to the Danske Bank Premiership.
Rodney McAree stated,
“I am sorry to see Andy leave but he has decided he would like a new challenge and less travel, Andy has been a superb servant to the club and has produced plenty of fine displays. I wish Andy all the best in his new challenge!”
Good Luck Andy.

BREAKING NEWS | DEFENDER SIGNS FOR SWIFTS

Pictured: Swifts new signing, Jake Dykes, Head Coach, Rodney McAree and Chairman, Keith Boyd.
Rodney McAree has made a move for the man he’s had his eye on for a few years and has struck gold. We are delighted to announce that twenty-three year old Jake Dykes has signed for Dungannon Swifts.
The surname might sound familiar to a few Irish League supporters, and that of course is because Jake is the son of Gavin, former Ballinamallard United Manager. Jake, a left sided centre half, joins Stangmore Park on a two deal after having recently returned from graduating at North Carolina State University in America. Jake, who hails from Sligo, completed a Scholarship at USA University and is excited about getting back involved with Irish Football;
“I’m looking forward to getting to know the lads and working under Rodney. I’ve heard great things about him from many people and I know I will really enjoy his coaching. Dungannon is a great club that I’ve always been impressed by.”
Dykes played for both Ballinamallard Utd in the NI Football League and Sligo Rovers in the League of Ireland as well as Captaining Ireland at U18 Schools level. Swifts Head Coach, McAree shared his thoughts on the signing of Jake;
“I am absolutely delighted to have signed Jake Dykes who is returning home from America. Jake is a left sided centre which is something I’ve been on the look out for for sometime. He’s very comfortable on the ball and will fit our style of play. He will give us great balance and options for the season ahead while also adding healthy competition. Personally I’ve been an admirer of Jake for a few years so I’m over the moon to have him on board and can’t wait to get working with him!”
Welcome to Stangmore Park, Jake, we hope you have a great experience as a Dungannon Swifts player.
