Dungannon Swifts Under 20’s travelled to Ballymena United for their first Development League fixture of the season on Wednesday night.
A very young Swifts team led 1-0 at the break with a debut goal for Curtis Hallisey. Curtis headed in from a Rhyss Campbell free kick. Ballymena went on to score two quick goals after the restart and extended their lead midway through the second half to run out eventual 3-1 winners.
A much more experienced Ballymena United deserved their victory but there were lots of positives to take away from the game with Swifts players, Marito Marcal and Peter Bell, showing great promise.
Swifts Team: Luke Mulholland, Jack McIvor, Adam Glenny, Cahal McGinty, Greg McColm, Peter Bell, Paul McElroy, Rhyss Campbell, Bailey Leonard, Marito Marcal & Curtis Hallissey.
