Cahoon Sparks the Swifts.

We are delighted to welcome our newest signing Joshua Cahoon to Stangmore Park.
Josh has been a league winning champion with Linfield Swifts in the past and joins The Swifts as a highly rated and sought after player.  Other Irish Premier League clubs had expressed an interest in Joshua, including Glenavon, Glentoran, Ballymena and Coleraine, however much to our pleasure Josh chose to come to Stangmore Park.

Joshua who hails from Taughmonagh in South West Belfast started off playing as a centre forward but progressed into a centre half. After moving on loan from Linfield to H&W Welders in 2011, Joshua decided to sign permanently for the Welders when his loan spell was completed.

At 6’1” Joshua will be a fantastic addition to the Swifts team that has already welcomed six new players since the end of the 2011/12 season.  At only 20 years old, youth is unmistakably still on his side and hopefully he can progress himself even more at Stangmore Park.

Welcome to The Swifts Joshua and all the best with your Swifts career.

In other news Adam McMinn has agreed a new deal at the club which is very pleasing. Adam has been a very faithful servant to the Swifts throughout his time at the club. The 28 year old will be representing the Swifts on our “Fight Nite!” on Friday 22nd June at Stangmore Park when he takes to the Boxing ring to fight another local footballer from either Dungannon Rovers or Dungannon Tigers. Show your support to him and the rest of the lads by coming along.
