Dungannon Swifts are pleased to announce that David Armstrong has signed an extension to his current contract which will keep him at Stangmore Park for a further two seasons.

Defender Armstrong first signed for the Swifts back in May 2014 and is enjoying his fourth season with the club.

“I am absolutely delighted to sign on again at the Swifts. I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else. The club has many great people and have been good to myself and my family and I just want to help push the team forward.”

Congratulations David on your new deal.

Head Coach Rodney McAree spoke of the contract extension;

“I am so happy that Davy Armstrong has agreed to sign a 2 year extension for Dungannon Swifts, our vice captain and a leader who has performed terrifically well to date so it was massively important for us as a club to secure him for another 2 seasons.”

Going the opposite direction Rodney has informed us that Thomas Lockhart has left the club.

“On a sadder note we lose Tommy Lockhart who has decided to re-join Rathfriland, I wish Tommy all the very best for his future.”

We wish Thomas all the best from everyone at DSFC and thank him for his time spent with us.
