DUNGANNON Swifts remain undefeated this season following victory over Glenavon at Mourneview Park on Friday Night.
The Swifts opened the scoring on 29 minutes after Sean Friars (pictured left) found himself unmarked from a Michael McKerr cross to head past keeper’ Andy Coleman.
Glenavon’s evening became worse a few minutes later with the dismissal of Kyle Neill after receiving two yellow cards in just seven minutes.
It was almost 2-0 to the Swifts not long after that but Stevie O’Neill’s header was ruled out offside.
Glenavon might have levelled ten minutes after the break after Brendan Shannon found Eddie McCallion only for the former Derry City man to blast a 30-yard drive off the bar. They later hit the cross bar after a Gary Hamilton free-kick fell for Ciaran Doherty to half-volley onto an upright.
The Swifts held out to pick up our first three points in the Danske Bank Premiership this season.
