pe_00237253Former Swifts player Marc Brolly has re-joined us at Stangmore Park. Winger Brolly left the Club to sign for Derry City and had a spell with Finn Harps before finding his way back to Dungannon.  The 27 year old brings with him experience from the League of Ireland and will provide healthy competition for places at Stangmore.

Murphy has stated how Marc signing for the club actually happened by chance;

“On Marcs arrival back at the club it came somewhat out of the blue. Marc contacted Rod and asked would it be possible for him to train with us and he has impressed over the last number of weeks, so we offered him a contract. Marc is technically very good and has bags of pace. He can play on either wing or through the middle so he gives us a few more attacking options. Hopefully he will prove to be a valuable asset to the squad.”

Leaving Stangmore Park is striker James Costello who joined us this time last year from Ballymena United. Murphy has expressed grateful thanks to James for his time spent with us.Danske Bank Premiership - Glentoran v Dungannon Swifts

“I’d like to thank James who did well in his time at Dungannon Swifts. He scored some important goals last season that helped us secure 10 years in the Premier League. I wish him every success at Loughgall FC. He was a pleasure to work with and we parted on good terms as James has a burning desire to play first team football, which unfortunately I was unable to guarantee him.”

We would like to take the opportunity to wish Marc all the best back at Stangmore and to thank James for all his services to the Club. Good luck to both lads.
