The latest addition to the squad at Stangmore Park comes in the form of goalkeeper – Berraat Türker. The 22 year old German joins the club having played for Monaghan United and Dundalk in the League of Ireland. At 6’2″ Berraat (known as Brat) is a welcome addition to the Club and will provide some healthy competition for our current number one keeper, Buchanan.
Türker, who works as a part-time model, has expressed great enthusiasm at signing for the Swifts;
“I am delighted to receive the fantastic opportunity to sign for Dungannon Swifts. It is a massive chance for me to prove myself at this level and I am really looking forward to getting involved with the club. My dream starts now!”
Speaking about his fourth signing of the January transfer window, Darren Murphy said;
“We have been in the market for a goalkeeper and a good friend of Dungannon Swifts, John Heffernan, contacted Joe McAree and informed him there was a goalkeeper in Monaghan that we should have a look at. Berraat has trained with us the last two weeks and we are delighted he has signed a contract until the end of the season. He will come in and work alongside Gareth who has done a fantastic job from the start of the season. Hopefully both lads will continue to develop under the expert coaching of Brian Hutchinson our current goalkeeping coach”.
Welcome to Stangmore Park Brat and we wish you every success.
